Week 51 of 52.

Perfect Timing is a weekly photography project by two friends who met in college, became roommates and have been close ever since. We share a love for languages and travel, and although we're from the same southern state, we now live on different continents, balancing a demanding work life with a private life. We both agree that everything happens for a reason, whether we see these moments as positive or negative at the time, propelling us ahead or slowing us down. We hope you will join us each week, as we share little moments of Perfect Timing with you.

This is actually not a current photo, but one shot in Spain in 2003 on film. Yup, that's right analogue. I've been interested in photography my whole life, but at this particular time in 2003 I had no clue about photography - no idea about lighting, what good composition meant, etc. Only thing I new was that I loved taking photos. The original unedited photo looks quite different than this one I've added a smaller version below so you can compare. So, it has really been fun lately to go back through old photos, edit them and see them with new eyes.

I knew from the moment we met that it'd be a lasting friendship. Kindred spirits. It was as if we had always known each other. Like family. My dear friend Madalena of my personal coffee break. When she's not busy running her own company, she is out exploring new places, jogging or enjoying a great cup of joe. I am sure you will adore her as much as I do. Please take a moment to check out her "Perfect Timing" photo from this week: "home”.

Love this! I remember shooting on 35 mm film as well, and I was just having a good time. Who knew I'd return to it? Love the B&W conversion and the angle here!
