Hindsight.

Week 12 of 52.

Perfect Timing is a weekly photography project by two friends who met in college, became roommates and have been close ever since. We share a love for languages and travel, and although we're from the same southern state, we now live on different continents, balancing a demanding work life with a private life. We both agree that everything happens for a reason, whether we see these moments as positive or negative at the time, propelling us ahead or slowing us down. We hope you will join us each week, as we share little moments of Perfect Timing with you.

This week, as many since the beginning of the year, has been consumed by work. But I had a cool moment last night where I reflected on all that has happened the past few years.

You know what they say - hindsight is 20/20.

In this moment I thought about all the different things that have lead me to the place I am today.

Sometimes it is difficult to remain patient and know...trust...that there is a bigger plan that I am a part of, but I do really believe that. And taking the time to think about everything that has happened and where I stand today - I couldn't be more grateful for how everything has played out.

I knew from the moment we met that it'd be a lasting friendship. Kindred spirits. It was as if we had always known each other. Like family. My dear friend Madalena of my personal coffee break. When she's not busy running her own company, she is out exploring new places, jogging or enjoying a great cup of joe. I am sure you will adore her as much as I do. Please take a moment to check out her "Perfect Timing" photo from this week: "through the fog"

Love this whole concept and way of thinking! And yes, you are part of something greater. Remember that phrase the next time you're running for a train or bogged down with work: Great things come from humble beginnings. :)

Thank you Madalena! I have to admit some days it is hard to keep this in mind, but I do try to continuously remind myself - especially on those tough days.
